THAT's what I should have done -- shoot them from the underside where it's more textured and interesting anyway. I shot from the standard top-down, and all the shots were either blurry from inability of my camera to focus, or shiny -- from being so wet. I'm getting ready to post a series of mushroom shots from my time in Bainbridge Island last week. But my little ones like this will stay off-site because of lack of quality!
@jyokota Glad I gave you an idea, I have learned a lot by looking at photos other people made, dissecting what I like and looking at the Exif data. I use f6.3 a lot now due to seeing it work so well on macros of others.
