@ggshearron I used a 2 sided ring flash with a 4:1 ratio directly over the clip to give more light to the front while subtly lighting the back. I need to read up more on flash settings and how to better use them, so there might be more still life in the future of my shots, hopefully with improvements and multiple lighting angles along the way.
@koalagardens I think you could do It. I realized I never use a flash, so I am trying to learn to use it well or at least acceptably for still life. This evening I scratched A and B into the back of the ring so that I can easily tell which is which, small steps.
