Challenge- flowers in natural light with supporting actors.

This was my get pushed challenge this week.

From @farmreporter :
hallenged me to be pro-active and to bring some cut flowers into my home, set up a table near a window with the light falling sideways onto the flowers. Build a still life with a few more objects that are sympathetic to the flowers and take a photograph by natural light with as wide open an aperture as I could manage.

Thoughts on the challenge: This was really out of my comfort zone but was fun to do. A major issue I ran into is that I have been moving chasing jobs for so many decades, that apparently I keep nothing in my life solely for aesthetic value, hence the lack of fun supporting characters. I ended up walking around getting apples, plumbs, and Oregon Grape.

I also found that the shot looked like garbage at f2, and backed it off to 2.8 to get some depth in the flowers. On a side note, My wide angle zoom looked like hot trash at f4 (wide open) vs the Rokinon prime at f2. Good to know.
@farmreporter - Here is my wide aperture side lit flowers with supporting actors for your challenge. It was hard since it was overcast, but I went with a theme of edible plants.... Apples, plumbs, and Oregon Grape.

I had lots of fun taking my time and arranging the shot, however I couldn't get a steep evening light where I am at without being in a road, and the supporting actors were difficult to come up with.

wow that was a detailed challenge - I'm not sure on the technicalities, but as a still life I totally love this :)

I just noticed that your tag for this get pushed challenge is wrong - it should be get-pushed-359.
So sorry - I should have noticed it earlier. I hope you can change it in time to get into the challenge!

@farmreporter Thanks for the catch, I have been having an issue with proper labeling lately.

I am glad it wasn't a total let down. It was fun to shuffle and compose.
