I posted a shot of our Cooktown Orchids back a few years ago but since I am devoid of ideas at present, I had no option but to repeat myself.
The Cooktown Orchid is the floral emblem of our great state - Queensland.
We have had these orchids growing in the trees in the garden for 35 odd years. They get broken off and knocked down by the possums, blown out by the wind and rain and we pick the bits up and stick them back in the tree. So what was once one "plant" is now quite a few and every year they send out a couple of flowers each to thank us for our troubles.
The Cooktown Orchid occurs naturally in a very limited area of the North Queensland rainforest between Cooktown and Cairns.

@terryliv HAHAHAHAH firstly, that was 3 years ago and whilst you may have some of your sanity left, obviously I have none of mine. And let's be honest, you think I would remember anything about QLD???
Heading north and west to do our bit for the Regional Qld economies. :-)
