Chicago Harbour Lighthouse by terryliv

Chicago Harbour Lighthouse

The old Chicago Harbour Lighthouse out on Lake Michaigan was built in 1893 for the World's Columbian Exposition and moved to its present site in 1919. In 2003 it was declared a Chicago Landmark.

We took one of the Wendella boat tours which went out onto Lake Michigan and then travelled up the Chicago River.

We don't do cities very well and I am not very imaginative when it comes to photographing them.

Our daughter and her family from London are now with us so comments will probably be sporadic at best until the new year.
I can just imagine and raging storm, with waves crashing into this lighthouse.
