1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 - Coming and Going

The Lamborghini Miura in its various forms is regarded as being the most beautiful vehicle of all time and is the very first "supercar".
This fine example is one of only 338 P400s produced between 1968 and 1971.
Despite its age, it has done only 34,392 kms which gives a clue as to what sort of a sheltered life these vehicles had.
Oh, the price? You can have this one for a cool $1.85 million.

As an aside, in 1970 when I was in the army (National Service) I was stationed at Bandiana on the NSW Victorian border. About 100kms from Bandiana on the upper Murray River, was the very small village of Walwa where the local doctor had a Miura S. On weekends when we had nothing to do, we would drive up to Walwa to pore over the Lambo which was always parked in the main street outside the pub. I daresay that particular car had a more robust life than this one.
Such an elegant automobile.

I thought the headlights look like they have eyelashes, and Charlie tells me that he believes they are grills to help the air flow when the car is going really fast.
