What The????

In an attempt to get my phojo back, I went to a Birds-in-Flight workshop yesterday. The workshop started at the Parrots in Paradise parrot refuge in Glass House Mt. in the Sunshine Coast hinterland.

And this fine fellow is a cross between a King Parrot and a Red Wing Parrot. Never heard of anything like this before but he sure is colourful.

For O/S 365ers, see https://365project.org/terryliv/365-year-3/2018-01-17 for a male King Parrot and https://365project.org/terryliv/365-year-3/2019-03-23 for a female Red Wing Parrot.

@pamknowler Don't hold your breath Pam. When we left the parrot refuge to go shoot some BiF subjects in the wild, there were precious few birds around.

Those colours are amazing!! However I'm sure you don't need a workshop on bird photography as your shots in your backyard are stuning - that's why i started following you all those years ago :) Hope your phojo is back as I really miss your photos - and our banter :) Fav for the mix of colours!

“Phojo!” I love it! I’ve been having the same problem and using birds to jump start my project too! Although nothing as amazing as this fella! Very nice...

What a weird combination! Great to see you back. We keep referring to your recommendations as we meander up towards Darwin. Wish we had time to come east again!
