Moutohora Island forms the backdrop for a late afternoon shot of the waves at Ohope beach on the North Island of New Zealand.
Taken during a 3 week drive around the North Island late in 2019.
As an aside, we were supposed to have taken the boat trip to White Island the next day but it was too windy and the seas to rough for this land lubber so we bailed out. A couple of weeks later, it blew up tragically killing 22 people.
My heart skipped a beat when I read “White Island”. I’m glad you didn’t go even though you were ahead of the eruption. This is lovely in B&W. The surf lines are amazing.
