Busy Bee

I am always chasing bee in Grevillea shots at golf and finally managed to get some this morning. I don't have a macro lens so big crop on this.
In defence of my golf shots - they are always very hurried and I have to squeeze them in between shots (of the golf variety). Everyone already thinks I am some sort of nut case walking around with a bloody great DSLR hanging off my golf bag so I would really get harassed if I started holding up the field while I buggarised around with POVs and DOFs.
But it was all worth it today because I had a win. WooHoo!!!!! So I don't really care what you think of this pic. :-)

Actually Poppo, I think it is a great shot. I don't have a macro, only a point and shoot camera and rely on I photo for crop. I love the bulging leg sacs on this little chap :)

i can just picture you walking around the golf course with the camera taking priority in the golf bag!! BUT certainly worth it as this is magnificent and a bonus the bee is on a grevillea (one of my favourite bushes) So you have had a win all round :) Fav

good capture - I understand about the golf shots - I took my camera out a few times and got into trouble for holding play up!! Golfers are so precious!! I am still learning the game and didn't realise [people are

Great up-close shot and GREAT GAME! Congrats on the win AND the bee shot. I can imagine it's downright tough to try and incorporate photography into a golf game with buddies. You can only hope they all put their golf balls in the rough on the same play so as to give you time to use your camera. I'm sure you were already wishing that before you started hauling your camera along on the course...
