Eoin vs Lorikeet - Lorikeet Wins

Sonia was showing Eoin the birds out the back when one of the rainbow lorikeets decided he warranted closer inspection. Eoin tried to pat/grab/catch the lorikeet with the inevitable result that it bit him (pic 2). By pic 4 the realisation of what had happened had set in - you can see his eyes scrunched up.
Trust me. When they bite, they hurt and can draw blood very quickly. There were indentations on his knuckles.

Oh poor little man!! The Lorikeet is so colourful and looks just like a toy - why wouldn't he grab it? You get so many wonderful birds in your garden Terry and they all thinks it's their territory!!
