Singing Honeyeater by terryliv

Singing Honeyeater

This Singing Honeyeater was hopping around us while we were having lunch at Rainbow Valley. Of course, everyone threw him some scraps for his trouble.

Would hate to cause an argument but this looks like the singing honeyeater (common here and over lots of Aust) rather than the grey headed honeyeater. It's a great capture though :) Fav

@gilbertwood I don't know that song Denise :-)
Given that I had to look this up and scroll through a web site of central Oz birds to make an identification, I am certainly not going to argue with anyone Denise. The photo of the GHH I found certainly looked a like like this fellow, but now that I have seen a photo of the SH, I agree that he is a SH. Thanks for that. Title and narrative corrected.

@terryliv So pleased you weren't offended :) I see these birds every day as they frequent the scrub everywhere along the coast here! I photograph hem often but they rarely end up getting posted - will have to soon. I'll have to find one singing in the rain :)
