We are so spoilt with our bird life here in Oz. Even our pigeons manage to look cute and endearing 😊.
The Crested Pigeon is such a gentle and unassuming bird but we have finally managed to gain their trust and we can now get reasonably close to them.
The most surprising thing about them is the way they stand up to the rainbow lorikeets when they really want to. When pushed long enough, they give the rainbows a single whack over the head with their wing. The movement is so fast, it's over in the blink of an eye. You hear it more than see it.
