Another Brom Flower by terryliv

Another Brom Flower

A totally different look brom flower. This one belongs to an unknown variety of Aechmea - one I collected before I started taking an interest in them. The flower actually comes from the little blue bud at the end of the red jelly bean bit. I should have posted this one a couple of weeks ago as it is a bit past its prime.

I'm really enjoying the examples and your fine portrayals of the vegetation and wildlife from Down Under. Making me want to make the trek there soon - despite my vow to never again set foot on an airplane after retirement. Guess I'll just have to take my yacht. ;-)

@gigiflower @karlow75 @tellefella @pittcj17 @teiko @thresheg @sabanford @ribbet9 @homeschoolmom @demelo @hermann @tahoemb @gilbertwood @digitalrn @moxy Thank you everyone. I have made this comment before but it is funny how we all see things differently. I almost didn't post this pic as I thought the flower was a bit ordinary and not 365 worthy. We see it often and so I guess we get a bit blaze about it. Glad you all liked it. Now what other "ordinary" things can I find????

@stray_shooter Thanks Ron. Airplanes are just a necessary evil. If you think about it, if you do any travel from Oz, you must fly (except if you take a cruise of course but I would go nutty on a cruise). Would you bring the 50 metre yacht or the big one?? BTW, most bromeliads come from South America
