Finches by terryliv

Finches

Still at Brookfield and there were quite a number of wild Double Barred and Red Browed Finches (I think it is pretty obvious which is which) hanging around the finch aviary feeding off the seed that was outside on the ground. It is pretty obvious that the staff put seed outside on purpose to feed the wild birds.
They are exquisite little birds, lovely capture Poppo :)

Great shot. I had a bird aviary when I was growing up. We had lots of finches in there. They weren't as colourful as the red ones though.
