One Morning in Urunga 14

I'm not the best on small fish but I think this is a toad fish of some sort. Anyone help?

This shot has been cropped to within an inch of its life so I am very happy with the clarity that remained
What a little beauty!!I have no idea what it is but I love its pattern and red eyes!!

Wow! That's a fantastic shot. No help with identification I'm afraid but the colours and clarity are brilliant - particularly as it's been cropped so much! You have even managed to capture some movement in the fins. Those eyes! fav

Great capture, and the clarity is amazing. Fav. Smooth Toadfish (Tetractenos glaber) ??? But I'm not sure, as you know you and todafishes do not live in my common habitat.

Great capture. I had no idea what variety of fish it was either, so I Googled it and came up with the same as you only it fits the bill for a smooth toadfish.

This is what the heron was hoping to have for breakfast? What a shame! This is a handsome fish. (And a great subject for my brown theme.)
