Red Passion Flower by terryliv

Red Passion Flower

We came across this vine covered in these large red flowers on a drive up to Springbrook in the Gold Coast hinterland.
Took a number of shots and showed them to a couple of the locals at Springbrook but no-one knew what it was or had ever seen it before. Asked Prof Google when we got home and found out it was a Red Passion flower (Passiflora miniata)
What a beauty! I would like these in my garden! Fav!

@merrelyn I knew someone would ask that question. According to Prof Google, they need to be pollinated by hand to produce fruit
