Carpet Python by terryliv

Carpet Python

This Carpet Python was crossing the road from our place to our neighbours. I reckon he was at least two and a half metres long.

He was in a bit of a hurry and wouldn't sit still for me to get a good front on shot which is what I was after. As soon as he sensed me in front of him he would change direction.

When he got to our neighbours retaining wall he basically stood up on his tail and went straight up the wall.
It must be a little camera shy. A lot of people would have ran the other way instead of taking photos.

He's about the size of the one I had a run in with at the chook house. They look pretty confronting when you're standing eye to eye.

Nice collage of a "creepy" subject! How did the snake bust out of prison? It "scaled" the wall!

Crimini! This thing is HUGE! Amazing frontal shot you got - you must've been right down there on the ground with the creature.

Nice collage Terry. My neighbour who breeds birds lost 28 to one of these snakes.I think he relocated it.
