Day 17 - Put Your Glad Rags On by terryliv

Day 17 - Put Your Glad Rags On

Our final night was in the lovely Chifley Resort in Alice Springs and everyone got dressed up for the occasion. It was a far cry from the previous few nights.
Given we had a 12kg bag limit for 18 days, I'm not too sure where some of the ladies managed to conjure up their dresses from. St Vinnies in Alice Springs perhaps?
I took this shot to make sure the settings were OK and then gave the camera to one of the staff members so I could be in the group shot. She took 3 shots and don't ask me what she managed to do but they were all crap. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I don't believe it but I have finally managed to catch up with my postings. Now for the views and comments.

Don't bother to comment - just telling a story.

We have now left the map at http://365project.org/terryliv/from-the-archiv/2015-01-07 showing our tour up to the start of Day 15.

I imagine a trip like that would be a unique bond. Have you stayed in touch with anyone you met through the trip?

@gilbertwood You need to expand your horizons beyond Victoria Denise. Alice Springs in winter can be bloody freezing. We are going there in a week's time and have been watching the weather. In one week the range was -5 to 28. In one day recently, the range was 2 to 28. Going to be interesting packing for 15 days considering we have a 10kg bag limit.
