Some old scanned prints of an Aussie tourist's perspective of Jungfraujoch in Switzerland - more conventional than the ones posted by Mona @mona65 yesterday. The bottom one is a stitch of three photos.
Taken with my trusty old Canon film SLR back in 2005. I went through 4 36 shot rolls of film during the few hours we were up there which for me was unheard of. I would live to go back there with a DSLR. The mind boggles as to how many shots I would take.
If you are ever looking for a fabulous place to visit, this is the one.
@mona65@shepherdmanswife Thanks to you two, I have just wasted a couple of hours dragging out and going through old prints, scanning them, making panoramas (and doing a lot of repair work to them) and making a collage. I WANT TO GO BACK THERE!!!!
Is the restaurant top right the one that you hiked to Chantal.
Great collage, great memory. Sorry that I teased you,... and you had to spend a lot of time going through the old prints. ;-) But I'm sure you loved it.
Top right is the Mönchsjoch Hut (German: Mönchsjochhütte) at an altitude of 3,658 metres (12,001 ft) and is one of the highest huts owned by the Swiss Alpine Club.
Lovely collage Terry!! I love the mountains especially with the snow. I went to Austria ten years running when I was very much younger and did some skiing - I was awful but loved every moment. I have never forgotten looking out of my bedroom window and seeing a fabulous mountain covered with snow!! I too would love to go back!! Fav for the memory!!
