Day 12: Snow Canyon State Park, Utah

I think the black rocks are basalt from ancient lava flows. Correct me if I'm wrong
Yes it is basalt. You were looking at a lava capped ridge that used to be the canyon floor, oh, a million years ago. Just the coolest geology!
