Once Upon a Time....

No time for the good camera today but I was down at the local shops today. I came in from the opposite side to where I usually do. I hadn't seen this particular piece of graffiti knitting before. The title of the book knitted into the piece is 'The Magic Far Away Tree' which was my daughter's favorite book for years. So I decided that this deserves a place on my project. Taken with my trusty and ever present iPhone.

I looked but I couldn't see them up there. Thank goodness Madam Washalot wasn't at work while I was there!

I can't imagine the amount of time invested in this project. Plus I never heard of that book and as a teacher/writer I'm always looking for suggestions

It is just as well I was not asked to knit that or you would be waiting a millenium. Good find!

@pandorasecho It is one of the many, many books written by Enid Blyton. There are 3 books in that particular series if I remember correctly, written in the early 40's. They are wonderful!

@shamrockinmom Absolutely! You'll see I've posted a few of many examples of graffiti knitting around my neighbourhood haunts!

@tskipper Thanks for the comments and the follow Tami! Graffiti knitting has really taken off around Melbourne and you can find it all over the place. Bike racks are popular 'bombing' sites!
