Kommetjie (pronounced kom-meh-chee):
Atlantic Ocean side of Cape peninsula

One of the benches along the Kommetjie boardwalk on the way to the lighthouse*. If you look very carefully above the horizon you will see a flock of birds.

The smell of the ocean, the roar of the waves and the start of autumn's sunlight on one's back - made this public holiday a fabulous one. Hope yours was a goodie too.
