Horseshoes

We have just spent 5 days in the tiny county of Rutland in the UK. One thing I found out about Rutland is that the people there always hang their horseshoes upside down - in comparison to the rest of the UK. Apparently this is to stop the devil settling in the bottom of the horseshoe. I flipped this photo of Oakham castle's Great Hall so the horseshoes are the right way up again!! @365anne
That is a fabulous view!! Made me smile!

@365anne brilliant execution for the challenge. The perfect subject for sure.

I guess all their good luck falls out (which I understood to be the reason horseshoes are hung with the hole upward).

I love the way the doors and window have the same shape as the horseshoes. I also didn’t know there was a right/wrong way to hang horseshoes. Interesting.

There is such wonderful symmetry here and the flip makes it so interesting..at least I think so.
