Happy Father's Day by thewatersphotos

Happy Father's Day

While visiting my mother this weekend I saw this little device that reminded me of my daddy. He suffered from dementia and passed away January, 2014. During the time that dementia was taking its toll, he seemed to enjoy singing. My guitar and I made a CD of hymns for him to listen to. It was a quick project of 10 songs. He loved it! When we went to the hospital in January, we took this and it played many long nights for him.

Today I do miss my daddy! Say Happy Father's Day to you father!
What a beautiful tribute. Music was one of the few things that could smooth my grandmother who also suffered from dementia. Music is so powerful.

How touching John. I am sure he appreciated it. I am lucky to still have my Dad around and tell him every time I can. I hope you have a great day.
