I got outside with the tripod and camera, but forgot the attachment to connect the two...used a fence post for stability.

that's an awesome shot! did you see my shot? Also, from reading I learned that you don't really need a tripod to shoot the moon (i may be wrong). I handheld (shot on Manual) and it came out grew, in my opinion :)
