I must have caught this flower in a different "state of development". The center cone is usually "fuzzy" but this one is slick. I was not able to go back the next day to see if things had changed.
Wonderful close-up with its beautifully blurred background, and I love your commentary calling attention to the slick center of the flower. Photography has a way of helping us see things we'd otherwise miss, doesn't it?
