This is all of the pictures I uploaded to 365 this year, all the good and all the learning experiences that didn't turn out so great.
I had some make it to popular page and some I loved that others never noticed. I learned lots of techniques and strategies. I learned about my camera and about other places I want to see and photograph.
Most importantly, I learned to look at the world in a different way, with my eyes wide open and in the now. To see the beauty in everything around me, all that I used to ignore or think was ugly has been shown to have it's own specialness, the extraordinary in the ordinary.
There have been ups and downs, times of glory and failure, but it was all worth the growth as a photographer and as a person.
Blessings to all my new friends who have supported me and helped me to grow. Special blessings to those who have accompanied me on this journey as we went on crazy adventures to strange and unusual places sometimes late at night as we got crazy new ideas for our challenges and pictures.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Such a clever idea to sum it all up! Your words are powerful as it just goes to show that we can gain so much more than we think we can when we are open to it! Life seems to offer so much more when our eyes are wide open and are mind has space :) KUDOS my friend!
Very creative way to showcase your year. I love it! Congrats on finishing! I finished my year up today, too. Now, on to year 2 :)
We've been partnered up for this week's Get Pushed Challenge. In the spirit of a new year, my challenge for you is "new beginnings," in whatever way you choose to interpret that. Have fun!
Congratulations, Karen, such a lovely shot to end your year. I was privileged to share some of the journey with you and your images have always impressed. I still have a month to go! Best of luck for the future!

Because of the work all year, this was a very challenging collage. But as a collage it was one of the easiest I have ever made. I picked the shape and dumped my folder in.
