leaf zoom

Ok, tried something a little different. Radial zoom and zoom. Then had to create a layer mask, used a gradient tool and layer opacity.
But I had to resort to looking up a tutorial on my I pad while I had the laptop doing pse. I haven't figured out how to use two windows at once on windows 8.Well, not when I want to. they seem to happen randomly sometimes.

Wow. All that is way beyond my pse ability. (BTW, I'm glad I'm not the only one having problems with Windows 8. I swear it seems possessed!)

Beautiful zoom burst Karen! I like how much of the leaf remained in focus and I like how the light is bringing out the color of the leaf!

@karenpics I couldn't do it with out the open tutorial and following it step by step. And I don't think I could tell any one how.

Was the zooming only done in post processing and nothing in camera? Very cool effect!

@salza All in post, my camera locks me out of zoom during a picture.

@tigerdreamer I've only ever done this in camera. I have PSE9 which I'm trying to come to grips with but hadn't noticed the zoom effect, will have to go and take a look. I think picasa might have a similar effect although it will be a fairly basic one.

@salza It was part of the blur filters that Richard set me on. Sure wish we could get somebody to set up a processing challenge like the camera settings challenges.
