Whatchew Lookin At?

We take seeds with us every time we visit the park - having a Chickadee eat out of our hands is a thrill that never gets old. This one seems to have a bit of attitude!
Wow! Neat capture. What a cutie, even with the attitude.

Wow! How did you get that chickadee to land on your hands? Great shot too!!!
posted January 24th, 2012
Oooh lucky you! I just love that feeling on your fingers when a bird lands. They feel so delicate.....so privileged to see them that close.

Wow! Just amazing. Fav xx

Awesome. I have only had luck with this twice. At Christmas Annie and I tried and tried with no luck. Perhaps 5 year olds are just a little too fidgety? Wonderful, clear capture.

What a lovely bird in the hand you have

@barbsmith I've seen them land on children's hands - some kids are more patient than others, but once they've experienced the wonder of it, they settle right down and stand like statues!
posted January 24th, 2012
@melissapike they like Tim, for sure! I needed both hands to hold the camera.
posted January 24th, 2012
@denisedaly @hillcrest It's Tim who's the whisperer, although I've had them land on me as well.
