My favorite iris reminds me of so many things, depending on my mood - a flamenco dancer, a grape popsicle or just a Monet painting. She is the most flamboyant of my irises, easily four feet tall, and like any diva, takes the longest to bloom.
your description of this is wonderful and oh so perfect! i wish i had the gift of being able to use just the right words, but I am really not good with words. i usually struggle to just come up with a title.....haha
