Odd Couple: Still Life with Sunflowers and Ambulance

My Get Pushed Challenge this week was to "interpret "Odd Couple" by placing incongruous items in a still life."

The Missus bought some sunflowers to brighten up the place a couple of days ago and placed them in her favorite antique water jug.* With the use of a small parson's table against a suitable color wall, it presented itself as a natural focus for the still life.

For the incongruity element, I have a somewhat large collection (although the Missus disagrees and says it is very large) of toy ambulances. I tried several of them but this one worked out best. It's incongruous without really clashing like most of the others I sampled.

*The water jug's complete provenance is unknown. What is known is that it is very, very old. It belonged to the Missus' great-grandmother, and was known to be used by her grandmother.
