A Small Band II by timerskine

A Small Band II

My Get Pushed challenge for this week was given to me as "As I didn't see many people in your photos how do you feel about having someone in your images - it could be a selfie, a portrait or candid street scene with people in it?"

I've recently discovered that the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a great place for photography, with or without people. This shot is taken from one 2nd floor balcony to another that has an installation called "A Small Band." People coming and going were silhouetted well against the window. This is my second shot, with the first being two days ago. I went back to VMFA this afternoon and managed to get somebody walking past while all three signs were lit.

The full story of "A Small Band" can be found at the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
@la_photographic Laura, Here's my follow-up to my first challenge attempt.

When I first saw this, I thought it was for the album cover challenge. Love it. I regret that I didn't go to VMFA when my parents lived in Richmond.

@homeschoolmom That's a shame. It's a wonderful place and has one of the largest collections of Fabergé eggs in the world.

Oh, Tim - this is wonderful and timing was perfect to grab a person walking through the photo. A lovely composition.
