Blue sky! by tinley23

Blue sky!

After a number of wet, gloomy days it was lovely to see the sun, so I took the dogs on an extra long walk to the local nature reserve. They weren’t too impressed as they knew their dinner was waiting for them at home :)

Pretty view! I'm sure the dogs appreciated the walk even though the bulk of their thoughts were on food- hehe.

Lovely peaceful scene, is this the old mill pond down Hill Hook it does remind me of it, but must be twenty years since I last saw it, so maybe not.

@chrisiow It is! We head that way a couple of times a week, weather permitting! It’s a lovely little spot.

Thought it looked familiar, back in 1977 when we moved to Four Oakes all of Hill Hook right down to Clarence Road was fields with a few horses and ponies grazing.

Hope they did not want to take their dinner that was waiting in the pond ;).

@chrisiow Fascinating. Apparently we live on the site of what was once a popular garden centre. I guess the developers gave them an offer they couldn’t refuse, particularly as there a quite a few garden centres around here. But sad really.
