Today the word of the day is "reflections". I decided to get a bowl of water and shoot the reflections of my windows. I really like how you can see how the actual trees in nature are reflected and represented by the painting of the flowers in my bowl. Also, I absolutely love this bowl. Nearly all my plates are Portmeirion with the Botanic Garden design, and I have a couple of bowls too. This is actually a fruit salad bowl! I just think they're so beautiful and elegant. I think all my cups and dining ware would be Portmeirion Gardens if it wasn't so expensive!
Today I did a non-fiction writing class. It was quite enjoyable, if not a complete change to what I generally write. I usually write fiction, or non-fiction blog posts, but a blog post is very different to the type of writing I did in this class. It was very interesting though. I've got a bit of homework to do this week, then I've got part two next Tuesday. So hopefully that will be just as enjoyable!
@thistle01 it's so beautiful! I just love how intricate and delicate each image is, and that it gives you the name of the flower. I've found that John Lewis often stock seconds for a really good price, and more often than not they are in a sale/further reduced. The nice thing is, is that these seconds are generally very minorly damaged (like I slight paint mark on the back of the plate, or a tiny extra "crumb" of China attached to the back, almost like a grain of salt situck to the back and everything else is perfect!) so well worth it. Just a heads up if you're planning on buying some anytime soon!
