Not really happy with this, but its the first time I have ever tried to do a night/light shot and now I will have to read up about how to do it effectively. For me, its the best way to learn - wait until I really need to know something!
I confess I had to fiddle with the exposure - which I should have been able to do on the camera.
I like this Pat! I like the way there is a gentle fanning out reflection on the ground....... yes night photography has it's own set of rules, but once you grasp them it's ok (not that I have, but I have progressed a bit more after last week's challenge).
I placed my Candle on a piece of mat black paper with another piece standing up behind. I found the mat black stopped all the reflection, so you may want to try that?
Just trying to help, I do like this photo with the little windows of light.
Goodness, haven't thought about night photography! a whole new ballgame to be learned by the sound of it!! I think this has come out very well.....good tip from Bulldog though, the ever upward curve!! excellent glow though!!
