Vanilla Beans - Reunion Island

Manually pollinated vanilla beans in a plantation near St Andre on Reunion Island. One of few decent images captured during a rain soaked outing during our visit to this French outpost.

Many thanks for your visits, favs & comments, I read and appreciate them all. Given the limitations of the on-board WiFi and satellite links I am not able to view and comment on your captures, I am missing them.

I will attempt to maintain a daily journal where you can track our journey at http://2016IndianOceanSun.travellerspoint.com
Great shot in the rain. A very labour intensive job!

Great to see this. I hadn't really thought about what a vanilla bean looked like when growing.

Great shot - what a clear image - those beans really look super - nice and firm - and love those natural raindrops on everything (only benefit of the rain!)
