Remembrance Day

In recognition of today an image I captured in Busselton during our recent visit there. The Remembrance Day Service conducted by the Captain and selected officers was one of the best organised events of the cruise.
There were no useful on-board captures today with the weather deteriorating and the ship reacting the wind and the swell. The outside temperature varied little from the 13°C/55°F of yesterday.

I've not seen black poppies before. We had 2 minutes silence in school that day at 11am... not a squeak from 70 children. Amazing.
Love this reminder that others did likewise. x

@filsie65 I think the black poppies were ment to be the core of the display. Looks like some escaped.

I see it now! How funny, I didn't clock that it was a poppy 'til you said, now I can't unsee it!! doh :)
