Sempervivum by tonygig

Sempervivum

The house we live in his 100 years old, we have owned it for 35 years and done lots of work with it, one of the first things we took out was an old sink and this as been sitting about for all those years, until last year when I put some Sempervivum (houseleeks) in, these are now coming into flower and look wonderful, they are growing in pure grit, no compost or soil at all.
This is a brilliantly detailed capture. FAV

Beautiful flowers and love the focus. We have got flowers in an old metal wheelbarrow. I bet the old sink looks wonderful in your garden. It amazes me sometimes how some flowers survive. We get beautiful flowers by the beach which grow in pure sand.

Beautiful shot. Fantastic details. a fav. P.S. I place an old double sink on a stand. Then, I use it as a potting bench. It works great! Planting in a sink is a good idea too.

Beautiful! I love it when old things are reused for a different purpose. At my old house, I sunk an old iron bead into the ground, and planted herbs inside - an "herb bed"!
