Hunter Jumper

This is the first time that I took photos at a Hunter Jumper Show.
Hi Tami, i havent seen you use flash at all so my challenge for you it to use slow sync flash , ie a slow shutter speed with rear curtain flash. you will have to turn this on in the menu, i have a similar camera and when you go in the menu on mine it is the fifth icon along, a yellow spanner, and flash control is at the bottom of this page. go to built in flash func.setting and set it to 2nd curtain, and put the flash exposure compensation to low so you dont blow out the whole scene , you will need to do this somewhere you need a slow shutter, indoors or outside at night, if there are some interesting lights around your neighbourhood go for that, you either need a moving subject or move the camera while you take the picture, the flash will fire at the end of the exposure and freeze some of the motion, this is a really cool effect and lots of fun when you get the idea,. here are some examples .

@kali66 I have never tried this technique. So, I guess I will read up on it. Do you have an example that you have done?
April 9th, 2017 here i moved the camera around first, on the tripod then ran in front! , much easier if you have someone else to pose
this one is highly edited but i used a torch in a plastic bag with a stick to make a light saber device then posed with the scythe before it flashed, and this one was along exposure of the stars with the pop of flash to get myself in...
April 9th, 2017 just found this video that explains the theory behind it, for a subtle effect
