15 years ago today I learned about unconditional love, the power of prayer, and the gift of motherhood. My twins made their entrance in this world 13 weeks too early and weighed only 2 pounds each. Today they turn 15 and are smart, beautiful and totally amazing!
They were 3 weeks old in the picture they are holding, and those are my hands.
Thanks for looking, and if you have time, stop by and wish them a happy birthday! @beamqueenhttp://365project.org/beamqueen/365 @honeybeeshttp://365project.org/honeybees/365
great photo. your beautiful tiny babies have turned into beautiful young ladies. I am sure you are proud. Congrats and happy birthday to them :) May God bless them (and you) with many more birthdays.
Oh Sharon what a lovely posting - my nephew was a 2lb baby too - I remember how nerve-wracking it was and remember holding my hand next to his head and not believing my eyes that my fist was bigger.... he's around 6 foot now!!
You have two really beautiful daughters, Congratulations to you and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to each of them!
Such pretty girls and such an awesome story to go with a really spectacular photo, Sharon! I know you're proud and who could blame you?! Well done - on EVERYTHING! Happy Birthday to your gems!
Wow. such an awesome photo. I can totally relate to this picture for a few reasons. For one, I am a twin myself. Two, my sister and I were born 3 MONTHS early!!! I was not breathing when I came out and feel so blessed and lucky to be alive too. Elise and I are 18 now, will be 19 in just 2 weeks. It's amazing how much we've grown. From 3 pounds and hand'sized then to how big we are now? Wow. time flies and we are so blessed!
You have two beautiful young ladies. They look very mature for their age!
p.s. it is also MY firstborn son's birthday today! 36 years ago...I am still trying to figure out how it is that I have a child that old...I still feel like that is MY age...
Oh how wonderful I'm a twin happy birthday girls looks like you too get on as well ad me n twin sister its an amazing thing to be a twin! Great photo so special. All the best x
Truly beautiful daughters, Sharon . . they are lovely inside and outside! I've been viewing your family for a few months now and feel like I know these two great and very polite girls. Be proud, mama. :)
That is an amazing story to go with an equally amazing picture. Happy Birthday to your girls. 15 years from now, them holding a picture of this picture is going to make for a great picture.
Wow, Sharon! This is just so beautiful, as are your beautiful girls! What a true testimonial to unconditional love and care and a blessing for you! Happy Birthday to them both!
Your girls are so pretty! Hope you all had a wonderful day! I have been following Rebecca but didn't know she was your daughter. I guess great photography runs in the family!
Sharon this is such a sweet photo and the photo they are holding really makes me think about how precious each and every baby is. You know I didn't quite realise until now that these are your twins!! I've seen their beautiful photos but didn't make the connection with you!
Adorable...the pic AND the girls! I have triplets and while they weren't born early, they seemed tiny at the time. I'll remember this shot when they get just a lil older (they're 5 now).
Fabulous! Mine turn 15 in August, but they were only 4 weeks early and the one in the NICU was the giant of the floor at 6 lb 5 oz. It's amazing how fast they grow and turn into wonderful, viable people. I wonder if I can remember to try a shot like this on their next birthday. Thanks for the inspiration...
Wow - your words brought tears to my eyes. Such beautiful girls, and such a gift to you. We just welcomed our second granddaughter into our lives, and it really is such a miracle!
Awww...so amazing! The miracle of birth and bigger miracle of raising happy healthy human beings and how great they turn out! In just 15 short years....I am in awe of it.
Awesome image. I did wish them happy birthday. Now following all of you. So cool your children participate with you. I just bought my 7 year old his first real camera (not a toy) for Christmas. It is a fuji point and shoot. Hopefully some day he will photograph with me.
I work as an RN in the NICU at Children's hospital in Alabama, but I rarely get to hear of the stories of previous patients when they get to this age. Thank you for sharing!
Awesome photo and look how far they've come! That's so great. I have a friend currently going through the whole waiting game with her little man who is now 3 months old, but was born at 14 + 2 wks early ... he's yet to leave hospital. It is a long and tough road. I love these stories of great outcomes :) It does give hope.
this is a beautiful shot! I follow them both for a while (with plesure), but i did not know they were sisters, but when they both posted there 15-year shot i found out! and now i know there is also a mum on 365!
I see now that the photos are portraying some sets of twins for the purpose of mentioning something informational about them - more than that they are wonderful NG photos of twins, but I'll leave the link up in case you are interested anyway.
Love the twin photo and the twin photo topic. Just wish I could get my 17 year old boys to actually let me take their picture. All the twin pix have inspired me to try, I just hope I'm up to the challenge
this is a great portrait of your girls Sharon and I love seeing their photo at 3 weeks, nice touch including it!
You have two really beautiful daughters, Congratulations to you and a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to each of them!
