This is an old photo from 2007 of the Winter Gardens ballroom in Blackpool. My wife's brother is on the floor, he is rather good and they won a big trophy.
Pertinent today as I received in the post some ballroom music CDs on which they had used this and another photo. Fame at last!
after umpteen dancing lessons I went to my first propper dance. I asked a girl if she would like to dance with me. She said,you must be joking mate,get lost!
