These little fellows usually do battle with the ducks and hens for a few pecks of grain. They thought it was Christmas all over again when I gave them their own handful this morning so I could photograph them. They are apostlebirds - named because of their habit of travelling in tight family groups of 8-14 birds. The group sticks together and are seldom far apart no matter what they are doing.
