Yesterday grandson 2 suggested several photographs he thought I should take for my project. At 6:15am he came across from the little house where the boys are "batching" (see 21st April) to tell me now would be a suitable time to take on of the "two-faced" tree. So this shot is for him.
Several years ago a severe electrical storm crossed the property. The lightening killed a young heifer and struck seven different trees in the paddocks surrounding the house.
The two faced tree was one of them. Two trunks had grown from a comman base. One half died as a result of the strike and the other half lived on uneffected. I didn't realize until yesterday that the children had named it "the two-faced tree".
