What a wonderful season we've had this year. This is how I remember Black Soil Gully from childhood. All that is missing are the reeds. It is the first time in years and years that it has continued flowing into winter. By now it is usually dry and cracking but not this afternoon - a very different scene. So pretty as the sun threw twinkling diamonds across the water and a green trim separated the blue and the brown of the grass burnt by several weeks of morning frosts.
