As I look across to my neighbours this is what I see - a dome of purple. A Jacaranda. I read a poem once, too long ago to recall its author's name, but have never forgotten her four year old son's take on the name - "Jack on the Verandah". A heavy shower of rain in the early afternoon helped produce this lovely mix of light and colour. Viewed on large, a pair of crows can be seen sheltering from the rain on the fence under the gum tree.
