Helpx Helper

Yue and Yong from Tianjin University have been in Australia for a week now and are staying with us as part of Help Exchange. This is an online program which links hosts needing help, with holiday makers who are willing to offer 4 hours work per day in exchange for food and accommodation. It also has a valuable cultural exchange component which unfolds naturally. I cannot believe how happy these two young men are to be here in Ubobo. They are loving the space, fresh air and clear skies. From Tianjin, a city of 3 million people on Wednesday, to Ubobo, population 21, Thursday. Now that's a cultural exchange! AND the kangaroos turned on a brilliant show for them the first morning playing and grazing right in front of their bedroom. The two almost burst with joy.
We have a similar program here and I think these helpers get a really good deal - comfy beds, great cuisine - only four hours work!

What a great program! I'm sure all of you benefit greatly, not only from the exchange of creature comforts and work provided, but in friendships and understanding.

The photo and the story are equally delightful. Are there any language barriers?
