As each morning ends at this time of year the air comes alive with the rasping chitter of rainbow bee-eaters playing on the wind currents and using the midday sun to show off their beautiful colours to perfection. They fill the sky and look like little miniature kites drifting momentarily on the wind. A delightful sight but oh so hard to capture an image. They are so fast.
