This particular figbird is an excellent mimic. While we ate our lunch on the verandah, he relaxed in the English elm away from the midday heat and entertained himself by running through his repertoire of bird calls. We identified 9 different calls he could imitate.

I wonder if it's related the our Northern Mockingbirds which do the same thing. Love that red eyespot.
