What a sight! Rain, good rain, coming straight down the valley. We couldn't miss. And we didn't. 78mm/3.5 inches of good soaking rain. The relief it brought completely nullified the loss of power for 23hrs because of the damage done by the wind that came with it. My title by the way is a common Aussie cry when rain is imminent.
Hallelujah! I so thrilled for you. I understand completely the joy and relief you're feeling right now. Thank you for explaining the title. I was going to ask you about it until I read your description. I love it. Do you know its origin?
@mbemis Thank you Mannie. I'm like a kid again when it rains. I get so excited there's nothing I like better than the sound of rain on the roof - a tin roof of course here in rural Australia. I thought the saying came from an old outback cattleman who could forecast the rain fairly reliably. When he died locals continued to call on him to, "Send 'er down."
@onewing so sorry to hear this. This was a good broad rain band from Monto to Bundaberg that brought good relief rain as it moved north and out to sea.
