X marks the Spot

In lawn bowls the aim is to get more of your team's bowls closer to the Jack (yellow ball) than your opponent's. In the lower image we are 5 up having 5 bowls around the jack. "A metre through with your first bowl. This is still the spot," calls their third. "Put your next one in here." And indicates the spot. Would you believe? Out go the two blacks and in comes the second pink bowl. One down!!! (top picture)
